I'm running a behavioral interview using the STAR method.
Watch for:
- Whether answers include a specific Situation, Task, Action, and Result
- Vague answers that sound prepared but lack real detail
- Whether they take ownership or deflect to "we" for everything
- Consistency between different stories they tell
Alert me when:
- They describe the Situation but skip to the Result without explaining their Action
- They claim an outcome but don't explain their specific contribution
- I should ask a follow-up to get more specifics
- They've given a strong, complete answer worth noting
